This would be a dream come true. Exactly how close is close? No time frames?

Unfortunately I cannot accurately give you a time frame. Feel free to examine those screenshots provided to get a good idea of where the progress is. Also, the bulk of the actual program is done, it's really just a matter of gathering all the packets, and ironing out bugs. And at the rate the team is progressing, it might be done sooner than you think.

They are creating LAN/TCP-IP for SC2. Apparently I can't say any more though otherwise people think I'm advertising them.

sorry for sounding like a noob but if they are working on this LAN/TCP-IP program and it ends up working out, does that mean i can finally 1vs1 my friend that's sitting next to me? instead of playing "who can kill the computer the fastest.."

Yes. Currently it will support up to 4 players. So say if you host it, you can have three friends join you and can beat the hell out of each other. Or have you and your friend team up against the computer as well.

i've found a link for downloading it... it seems to be launching but i dunno how to join -.-
there a noisy "ding ding" on start but that can be turned off at with the music button
can somebody look at it?

I don't know what that is, but I recommend you don't download it. That is *NOT* from CodeGen.

For the last time, they are not done yet, and they are not working on an Emulator. Anything that comes out "claiming" it's from CodeGen is not from them.

the links is broken..does anybody know if they are actually getting close? I just want to play against my friend T_T
Bandwidth was exceeded for the month. Hopefully it'll be back up soon. I emailed the admin to check status. Yes, they are getting close. No ETA as of this moment.

I wouldn't :)

Then apparently you are the only one.

i've found this one a few minutes ago.... is this a fake?

I've never seen that before, and I mod their forums... They are not currently working on a bnet emulator. Only a LAN/TCP-IP project.

Where did you find that picture?

So I tried that Strategy AI.... holy crap it took me by surprise!

Now, I didn't lose to the AI, but damn it was much more challenging. I played 3 games:

1st game: Terran (me) vs Terran on Blistering Sands
2nd game: Terran vs Protoss on Kulas Ravine
3rd game: Terran vs Zerg on Steppes of War

I started off the 1st game like I usually do, pump out some M&M while I tech to mech against Terran. Let's just say the terran AI harassed me so much with reapers and banshees it really took me off guard. That, coupled with timing the harassments with attacks on my natural, and it was just a huge pain. Late game they have a very nice mix of units, even pumping out Thors, and successfully took out my natural. By the skin of my teeth I was able to fend them off from my main. However, I discovered a fatal flaw in this AI... they don't rebuild their expansions. Ever. I quickly hit their natural and 3rd expo. After that I just starved them out of resources, making me get the win.

After that, I was easily able to exploit this AI. Protoss was easy with ghost EMP (and I never gave them the chance to spec to high templar...), however they did spec DTs which was annoying as hell lol.

Zerg... since I knew I could easily starve them for resources... was pretty easy.

If they rebuilt their expansions this would be the best AI by far. Their harassment is excellent (which really determines a game, imo) and they diversify their units. Perfect example: Against the zerg I scouted they had roaches, so I went marauders... After one engagement, the second engagement they came at me with mutas... took me by surprise again lol.

If this AI rebuilt it's expansions... it would've easily pwned me a couple times.

The CodeGenEmu Team forums are officially up and running. So feel free to come on over and show your support! All future updates related to their progress will be officially reported on Progress Updates section. We look forward to having your support!

I too am unable to locate the forum. As it was stated in another post that I'd have to register to see the forum, I did though to no avail. Not to be too bothersome, though could you check the permissions on the forum and make sure normal members are able to view Forums and Posts? Also, perhaps a direct link would help. Thanks!

Here is the main site: http://www.code-gen.net/sc2beta/   And here are the forums http://www.code-gen.net/sc2beta/forum/

I am sure regular members can access it, as we currently have 663 members, have 66 members online right now, and our forums are active and people are posting.

You can see the forum page, but in order to see any threads, you have to register, then proceed to activate your account through your email.

Nice advertising :) .

Was not trying to advertise. People were asking about it so I clarified. I will leave it at that.

Yep.

Again, people were asking about it. So I let them know. Someone before me had already posted it was up, but people were having trouble, so I clarified saying it was up and running. And so this forum wouldn't be clogged with questions regarding Team CodeGenEmu's progress, if they wanted to know they could check out OUR forums. I also did not make a new thread, I posted it in the thread that was already completely clogged with discussion regarding the exact same topic.

That is not advertising.

More nuggets of wisdom from the mighty gamewiz...

Hey man! You wanna use my beta account for awhile? This forum needs a break.

Maybe it's just me, but your post seems to be dripping with sarcasm. My apologizes if it's not. Granted, I'm just getting over being sick, so my brain doesn't want to work right now.

I want to clarify something. Daemonix does NOT want to use it for cheating purposes. He believes there is some data there that will help expedite the process in creating the LAN/TCP-IP they are creating for Battle.net.

i can support this proyect with undred of users of my oun comunity. But i cant see even screens.

and.... i saw this video... anybody can exlpainme if this is what the EMu team is making?

Starcraft 2 Crack Bypass Battle.net , its working !Get it here for free

Any idea?

That is NOT what CodeGenEmu Team is working on. That video has been out since day 1 of the beta and is 100% fake. CodeGenEmu is working on creating a LAN and TCP/IP connection that supports up to 4 players. Basically you can play with friends and whomever you want to give your IP connection to. Thinks like Hamachi and other virtual LANs will also work. They will work on emulating a BNet server in the future, but that is a massive project and this is a much easier workaround for the time being.

I wrote up an article about this! It basically summarizes most of what's happened here and what the SC2Beta.RCE Team is up to.

Thank you for posting this. Hopefully it will make alot of people stop whining about this, and actually believe CodeGenEmu Team for once.
