SC2 Lan on the Horizon!

Private sources have informed me of a SC2 Lan still being worked on and near beta release.  The beta will only support 1on1 and then soon melee, and then later on custom maps.  The servers will be hosted in Russia so it's going to be hard for Blizzard to go after this project.  This is legit and verified from the author himself, being a close acquaintance of mine also ;)   Stay tune for more information!

Proof of Concept.  The author still needs to clean up the project until its available for release. But it does work :) Thoughts?

??? PMG!  :D So there's no local server emulator then? It'll have to be hosted all the way over in Russia? No complaints here, I'm just wondering why they changed direction... or was that always the plan?

Anything new? (i know its an old thread, buts its the only REAL emulator i know)
Is it going to be a bnet 2.0 emulator (so we can play diablo 3 coop when it comes out) or is it specifically for SC2?

The one I was talking about was only for SC2.  Since it dealt with only sc2 game related packets.

I have some questions:

1) When is the realisedate?
2) Is it possible to play warcraft 3 like on battle.net (not that it is like lan)
3) Do i must register for it?

I really hope it will come true.

However, after patch 1.2, Blizzard removed any chance of accessing P2P play except Battle.net. That is when most of stuff died.

Since SC2 actually supports LAN but it is very hidden and only special builds have it. They just decided to trash the code because LAN story is over.

But who knows, everything is possible
